Annual Awards

The GRCI Annual Awards are unique in Australia and were created to recognise outstanding contributions by individuals and corporations to the development, understanding, or implementation of compliance systems in Australia and the dissemination of the values associated with those people and businesses who embrace the challenge of embedding compliance, risk, ethics and governance in their organisation.

Nominations are now open for the 2014 awards and we invite GRCI members to consider nominating for one of the award categories below (please note that the graduate awards are closed nominations from the assessors of the courses).

There are seven categories of awards:

  • Lifetime Member Award
  • Honorary Fellow Award
  • 2014 Compliance Professional and/or Team of the Year
  • 2014 Risk Management Professional and/or Team of the Year
  • Brian Sharpe Memorial GRCI Essay Competition Award
  • CCP Graduate of the Year - Sponsored by Neill Buck & Associates
  • Associate Graduate of the Year - Sponsored by Neill Buck & Associates

In 2014, the awards will be presented at the prestigious Annual Awards dinner during the GRC2014 conference on Friday 31 October in Sydney. Award recipients will be selected from nominations submitted nationally and internationally, judged by a five member panel against the published criteria. A copy of the criteria is available here and email here to obtain a word copy of the nomination form.

To nominate for the Compliance or Risk Professional/Team of the Year, during 2014, you must first nominate for the applicable regional awards process for these categories. The winners of each region then progress to be considered for the overall annual awards. The closing dates for each region appear below. These dates coincide with the conferences scheduled for those areas, so that members may receive their awards and be celebrated by their peers.

Nomination Process

To nominate someone for any of these categories (except the Graduate Awards which have a restricted nomination process) you will need to address the award criteria in specific detail. The GRC Institute has word versions of the nomination forms available for you to use to assist you with this process. Once your form is received, the National Manager will then contact you to advise you if there is any additional material required and to assist you with providing enough information to ensure the nomination can be fairly assessed against all others.

To obtain a word version of the nomination form, please contact the GRC Institute office on +61 2 9290 1788 or email here.
