GRCI's Associate Intensive Program (Certificate IV in Compliance Management 91516NSW) has been developed to provide GRC professionals with the core skills they need to meet the demands of an increasingly complex regulatory environment. The principles-based course is designed to provide governance, risk and compliance practitioners the skills and knowledge to implement and maintain an effective compliance program across any industry or sector, using the professional standards as a benchmark.

Providing excellent career development opportunities on completion, the course delivers up-to-date compliance, risk and governance content and the practical skills required to develop, implement and manage a compliance program. The course provides a pathway to a career as a compliance professional and to GRCI's Certified Compliance Professional Program (CCP), Graduate Certificate in Compliance Management.

Assessment and Learning Outcomes


  • Pre-course and in-class activities

NOTE: Should an assignment be deemed 'Not Yet Satisfactory', students are eligible to resumbit their assignment at a cost of AUD$250.00 (Plus GST).


On completion, students will be accredited as an Associate of GRCI and may display the post nominal AACI. Successful students will also be awarded the Certificate IV in Compliance Management, 91516NSW, a nationally recognised qualification.

NOTE: To be awarded the AACI accreditation you must be a financial member of GRCI.


Upon successful completion of this course and required assessment, you will be awarded the following units of competency from the Certificate IV in Compliance Management:

  • BSBCOM401B: Organise and monitor the operation of compliance management system
  • BSBCOM402B: Implement processes for the management of breaches in compliance requirement
  • BSBCOM403B: Provide education and training on compliance requirements and systems
  • BSBCOM404B: Promote and liaise on compliance requirements, systems and related issues
  • BSBCOM405A: Promote compliance with legislation
  • BSBMGT401A: Show leadership in the workplace
  • BSBRSK401A: Identify risk and apply risk management processes
  • BSBPMG510A: Manage projects
  • PSPREG417A: Undertake compliance audits


Enrolled students will be sent a small pre-reading task approx. one week prior to the course. Participants are also encouraged to familiarise themselves with the principles of AS/NZS3806 and ISO31000.

Registration Requirements

Students should have at least one years' experience in a compliance, risk or governance-related role.

NOTE: Once you have completed your on-line registration, you will need to email a short CV to support the minimum one year work experience pre-requisite.

Course Exemption

Experienced professionals may be eligible to demonstrate their competenceand expertise through recognition of prior learning (RPL)/recognition of current competence (RCC). Applicants are required to submit a portfolio of evidence demonstrating their skills and expertise corresponding to each of the course competencies. Applicants may also demonstrate their eligibility for credit transfer (CT) by providing statements of attainment awarded by other Registered Training Organisations.

Confirmation and Reminder

A 'reminder and confirmation' email, confirming the venue, times, etc, will be sent out approx 1 week prior to the event. It is IMPORTANT that you read this email when you receive it as it confirms FINAL details, and will include any changes to that may occur.

Cancellation & Payment

NOTE: Venues are confirmed when a minimum number of paid registrations are received. GRCI reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event/course should this number not be reached. Should an event be cancelled, all registered delegates will be contacted and notified immediately. GRCI is not responsible for any cancellation fees incurred by the individual (Travel, accommodation, etc) should the event be cancelled or postponed.

Full payment or a $500 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. Full payment due seven days prior to the event. If, after payment, you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place at no additional cost. Cancellations, course transfers and/or substitutions will need to be in writing at least seven days prior to course commencement.


  • Course transfers will be at Management's discretion
  • Please note members can only substitute members. If the substitution is from a member to a guest, the registration cost difference must be paid

We will not refund your registration fees if you fail to attend or give seven days written notice.

To obtain the member discount your membership must be paid to the current financial year.

Credit Card Transaction Fees

GRCI reserves the right to recover the following merchant/credit card transaction fees:

Visa and Mastercard: 2%
Diners: 4%
AMEX: 4.5%

These fees will vary as necessary, if and when the fees GRCI are charged, change.
